This past weekend saw both conference finals in the Central Interior Hockey League come down to wire in some tightly contested games.
In the Eastern Conference Final, the Quesnel Kangaroos beat the Williams Lake Stampeders 4-3 on Saturday to force a game 3 before they again pulled out 7-4 win on Sunday to advance.
And in the Western Bracket, the Hazelton Wolverines also forced a game 3 vs the Terrace River Kings with 3-2 Game 2 win, but the River Kings rebounded to win Game 3 narrowly 4-3.
The River Kings are close to repeating as playoff champs as they now face the Kanagroos in the final.
