With the summer season approaching rather quickly, the City of Terrace is currently preparing a new plan to help deal with an all too common symptom of the heat that comes with that time of year.
Terrace announced that they are working on creating what they called a Community Wildfire Resiliency Plan, which is set to be an evolved version of their Community Wildfire Protection Plan.
This updated version of the plan is set to include recommendations with a few different suggested priority levels.
Some of the listed new key goals of the plan are increasing community awareness and understanding of wildfire risk, addressing specific needs in Terrace, creating realistic and accountable wildfire mitigation actions as well as strengthening collaborations with other nearby fire based agencies and jurisdictions.
