In a recent public notice, the District of Kitimat stated that they had come to an agreement with LNG Canada that would allow the company to have exclusive access to Minette Bay West.
LNG Canada will use that access so they can do some supplemental work for what has been referred to as salt marsh reconstruction.
The term of the lease should last for around 3 years or so and it’s total cost is set to be at about $150,000.
Other reported parts of the work that will be done includes snow clearing and road maintenance on the access route from Kitamaat Village Road.
