The most recent edition of the District of Kitimat’s Council meeting saw council approve a pair of grant applications that the District will be making before long.
The applications are going to be done on behalf of the Kitimat Flying Club after representatives of the club made a presentation to council at the meeting.
One application will be seeking $35,000 and the other will aim to get $200,000, with the aim of those being to cover the costs of a Kitimat Airpark Master Plan as well as to purchase maintenance equipment for the Airpark.
A different part of the meeting also saw council adopt both the 3 Blueberry Avenue Official Community Plan Amendment Bylaw and it’s Zoning Amendment bylaw.
These adoptions mean that the property on 3 Blueberry Avenue can have 4 dwelling units on site.
