In their weekly report that covered the final few days of March and the start of April, the Kitimat RCMP talked about an incident that they also used as an opportunity to give out some advice.
The incident in question saw a package in a residential mailbox located in the Nechako neighborhood get stolen, but thanks to some CCTV footage being able to the capture the incident, Police Officers were able to identify the suspect in the case, find their location and even return the package to it’s owner.
And while such a thing didn’t happen in this case, the RCMP reminded people to not post crime photos or footage online since it could end up jeopardizing an investigation in the future and also result in a guilty party going free.
