Skeena Valley Seniors Will Rally Today for Involuntary Care

Diana Penner of the Skeena Valley Seniors preps to rally.

Diana Penner of the Skeena Valley Seniors is inviting anyone interested to rally at the Mills Memorial and Ksyen Regional Hospital site today at noon in demand that Mills Memorial Hospital is not demolished, and instead used for involuntary care in the region.

Penner says Mills is slated for demolition but insists the building is still operational, as are the hundreds of folks now trapped in drug addiction in the region. To Premier Eby's comment that it is "full speed ahead" for implementation of invountary care, Penner says the Mills facility should be used to help those on the streets get the care they need.

The group will rally at noon today (January 9th) at the hospital site.
