Jaylene Matthews first worked as a reporter with CFTK-TV in 2017, and has now returned in 2024. Jaylene covers the Northwest beat and writes, shoots, and edits for CFTK-TV News and CFTKTV.com. Jaylene grew up in Mission, BC and is an alumni of both Simon Fraser University and the British Columbia Institute of Technology, where she graduated from the Broadcasting and Journalism Program. Jaylene received the Bell Media Aboriginal Entrance Award during her time there, which allotted Bell Media a special place in her heart. Jaylene has developed a deep love for the Northwest and its culture and is happy to be here. She is a proud member of the Métis Nation of BC.
